COVID-19 Prevention Guide
(Information for Dormitory Residents)

Hongik University encourages and appreciates all students, who are coping with the current situation to prevent COVID-19 infection. Please be aware of the following information for the on-campus dormitory residents.

  1. As you first move-in to the on-campus dormitory in between 23 February and 28 February, you will be assigned in a temporary room (1 room for 1 person) for your Self-quarantine, for 14 days.

  2. Every dormitory room will be sterilized in between 12 March and 13 March. * You are able to use your room during the sterilization period.

  3. As your Self-quarantine terminates, you will be assigned in a new room, to be used throughout the semester, and be requested to move your stuff to the new room by 13 March.

[Code of conduct during the Self-quarantine period]

1. Wear a mask every day, especially when you go outside of your room.

2. Measure your body temperature (twice a day), make a checklist and observe thoroughly for any infection symptoms (sore throat, cough, etc.)

3. Receive and reply to phone calls or emails from Self-Quarantine Management Team.

4. Ventilate your room.

5. If you experience symptoms of infection while you are in your room, immediately contact the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Emergency Call Center (Telephone 1339) and remain in the area. (Do not move from your dormitory room).

6. Stay in your room and avoid going out during the self-quarantine period.

7. Dine in your room alone. Avoid dining out during the self-quarantine period.

8. When going outside, write down your information on the off-campus travel register provided by the dormitory administration office (take notes about leaving/returning time, visiting place, and others)

9. If you experience symptoms of infection while you are out, go to a quiet place and contact the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Emergency Call Center (Telephone 1339). Remain in the area. (Do not move from your present location).

Hongik University will do the best to protect the public health, and thank you very much for your hard work and dedication.
